Two New Engines

The current mid-size SUV comes with a strong 4.0-liter V6 engine that delivers 270 horsepower and 278 pound-feet of torque. The towing capacity of this SUV is 5,000 pounds. Furthermore, this engine sends its power through RWD as the standard and AWD as the optional.
However, the new model may get a new 3.5-liter drivetrain, that is also used under the Toyota Tacoma truck. With this engine, the upcoming 4Runner will be able to make 278 HP and 265 lb-ft. However, another solution is a turbocharged 3.0 engine that is under the Supra sport model. This engine is capable to produce under the Supra 335 hp and 365 lb-ft of torque. Also, we can expect much better fuel efficiency than before. We must wait for manufacturers confirmation of this claim.
