The Japanese manufacturer is going to release this year’s redesigned version of the 2021 Nissan Murano. From the first spy photos, we can see numerous changes. This model is comfortable, substantial, and refined. It`s available with two rows of seats and it provides room for five occupants.
Dimensionally, the new mid-size Murano sits between Nissan Rogue and the famous Pathfinder. Moreover, thanks to attractive look and not so affordable prices, this model will rival SUVs like Ford Edge, Honda Passport, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and the Chevrolet Trailblazer.
2021 Nissan Murano Comes With More Attractive “Floating Roof”
The new 2021 Nissan Murano will be refreshed and the manufacturer will use a more aggressive approach. Like before, this model continues to be handsome and stylish. This new generation is even bolder than ever, thanks to the redesigned “floating roof” and Nissan’s “V-Motion” front.
This is just the beginning of the redesign. The Japanese manufacturer will also add visually better-LED headlights and it will use the new fog lights. Moreover, on the side, this mid-size SUV hosts stylish 18 inches wheels on lower trims, while choosing the Premier trim, customers will get a more significant 20 inches wheels. For added utility, roof rails come as standard on all trims except the base one.
2021 Nissan Murano Cabin Features
The interior of 2021 Nissan Murano will be roomy and modern. Like before, the same layout will remain. This SUV continues to be a two-row model that provides maximum comfort for all 5-passenger. Cargo space is decent 67 cubic feet when the second row is folded. However, if one needs more rooms inside, Honda Passport is a real deal. This model provides 77.9 cubic feet of space.
As we already mentioned, there will be numerous configurations. The new 2021 Murano will be available in four trims: S, SV, SL, and the top-line Platinum. Murano S will offer more standard features than before. This trim includes an 8-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, dual-zone climate control, push-button start and more. Going up to SV trim, customers will get a leather-wrapped steering wheel, blind-spot monitoring, roof rails, etc. The recommended trim is still SL. This trim is available with leather upholstery, heated front, and rear seats, heated steering wheel, parking sensors, and Around View bird’s-eye.
The platinum trim is the most expensive trim. Also, this trim provides more features than all others above. Starting with the price of $43,700, the Platinum model offers leather seats with diamond-quilted inserts, panoramic moonroof, power-adjust steering wheel, NissanConnect, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, and advanced cruise control.
The new 2021 Nissan Murano will be a carry-over. This SUV will be, unfortunately, only available with a single option. It is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 powertrain that makes 260 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque.
Moreover, the new Murano will be available with a continuously variable automatic transmission and with front-wheel drive (FWD) as standard. Optionally, one can get an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. According to some statistics and primarily to this powertrain, the new 2021 Nissan Murano can tow maximum 1,500 pounds. This is a deficient number for this segment.
2021 Nissan Murano Price and Release Date
The forthcoming 2021 Nissan Murano will introduce more changes than the current model. Because of that, its price will be higher. The current model starts at $31,500 according to kbb.com. However, if one goes for SV trim, the price will go up to $35,160.
The most equipped Murano Platinum begins at $43,700 and can go up to 46,000 for a fully loaded version. Just to compere Ford Edge, Chevrolet Blazer, Honda Passport and Jeep Grand Cherokee are the SUVs that cost less and give more for invested money.
