The upcoming 2021 Jeep Renegade will get small visual modifications next year. According to the latest information, this model will be also available with a plug-in hybrid drivetrain that will be the highlight of the offer. Whatsoever, the new small crossover Renegade will still keep the same engine lines as the current model. So, under the hood will be two powertrains and a standard front-wheel-drive system, while AWD is optional.
The forthcoming Renegade PHEV from the same source will be manufactured in Italy and it will be available to purchase in Europe and the US. The release date of this SUV will be sometime in 2020.
2021 Jeep Renegade Offers Unique Design
The 2021 Jeep Renegade will get some updates, and we can expect a more attractive look than before. Whatsoever, we must add that this small crossover wears one of the most recognizable designs, and it offers a unique and stylish appearance.
As before, the front fascia of this SUV will be recognized thanks to the seven-slot grille and rounded headlights. Also, this model will get the new standard 16-inch wheels and short overhangs for rock climbing. Fog lights and a rearview camera are also standard. On the rear end, there will be minimal updates. Taillights are slightly wider and the rear bumper will be stronger and more stylish.

The standard model is equipped with features like a 7-inch Uconnect touch-screen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, AM/FM radio, 6-way-adjustable driver’s seat, tilt/telescopic steering column, a rearview camera, power windows, and door locks.
The most expensive and the most equipped is the Trailhawk trim. This model will come with dual-zone climate control, 506-watt Beats audio with nine speakers, leather seats, navigation, heated seats/steering wheel and more. Safety of this trim comes with a long list of features and includes blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and so on.
2021 Jeep Renegade Engine
The 2021 Jeep Renegade will continue to offer the same engine lineup as the current model. The first engine under this model is a 1.3-liter four-cylinder turbo that producing 177 HP and 200 lb-ft of torque. This engine is available with the trims Limited and Trailhawk and offers a manual transmission.
The next one is a 2,4-liter four-cylinder that delivers more horses than the first one. This model is standard on the Sport and Latitude trims. The output of this version is 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. It`s available with 9-speed automatic transmission. The front-wheel-drive setup is standard and four-wheel-drive system is optional. Furthermore, with this engine, the 2021 Jeep Renegade is able to pull 2000 pounds. Towing is not recommended for the 1.3-liter four-cylinder turbo engine.
Jeep Renegade PHEV
The hybrid system will be also available. Furthermore, the plug-in hybrid version comes with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, rear-mounted electric motor, and a powerful battery pack. So, with this system, we can expect astonishing mileage figures and better output (estimated to be around 230 horsepower). Visually, the plug-in hybrid model will not depart from the base model at all.
Price and Release Date
The 2021 Jeep Renegade will get some modifications outside that will not affect the price. The price starts at $21,000 for the standard model. However, if one chooses the Renegade PHEV, the price will go up to $30, 000.
