According to the Hyundai Company, the new trim will be added to the Palisade model. From what we heard, the upcoming model will be called 2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy and is official. This variant is the new range-topper that is position above the existing Limited trim.
Besides much better styling, the new trim will use the same powertrain as the regular one. The automaker announced that this model would arrive this month in the United States. However, due to Coronavirus, we think that the release date might be moved for a couple of months. We have some leaked information and the dealer guide suggests that this model will cost around $48,890 (plus a $1,140 destination fee).
2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy Looks Slightly Different
The all-new trim 2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy looks slightly different than other Palisade models. Basically, the manufacturer refreshed its styling with a revised grille mesh and triangular elements.
Unlike the other Hyundai models, the new Calligraphy features side mirrors gain puddle lamps. At the back, the manufacturer used accent lighting and an ultra-wide LED center high-mounted brake light. Exclusive on the Calligraphy model is the new trim-exclusive 20-inch wheels with a complicated, asymmetrical spoke pattern. As you can see, this model looks more sporty than the other Palisade trims.
Interior Comfort and Design
Inside, the upcoming 2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy looks unique. Generally, this model hosts all of the features of the existing Limited trim. This means that it will include a comfortable cabin, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen with navigation.
Like the regular model, the new trim comes exclusively with a seven-passenger layout and two captain’s chairs in the second row. If you didn’t know, Palisade is Hyundai’s first real foray into the midsize 3-row-SUV category. The Calligraphy besides comfortable cabin also includes the perforated leather steering wheel, microfiber-suede headliner, 12-speaker Harman/Kardon audio system, and cargo sill protection plate.

2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy Powertrain Specs
The all-new 2021 Hyunida Palisade Calligraphy is a reliable SUV that needs a potent engine. According to the manufacturer, this model will be powered by a single-engine option. From what we heard, this model will be exclusively equipped with the 3.8-liter V6 powertrain that should be able to produce 291 horsepower (216 kilowatts) and 262 pound-feet (355 newton-meters) of torque.
If you remember, the same engine also powers a regular model. Besides, it runs through an eight-speed automatic with an all-wheel-drive system. On top of that, with a full load of passengers, the Palisade can provide maximum towing of 5,000-pounds.
Release Date and Price
The new 2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy will arrive most likely at the end of this year. Besides great design, the new model offers a powerful V6 engine like the regular model. Interestingly, the manufacturer revealed how much this new trim would cost.
According to Hyundai, the upcoming Calligraphy trim starts at $48,890. Compared to the regular model equipped with an all-wheel-drive Limited trim, this is around $925 more. The cheapest Palisade begins at $33,665, including the destination charge.
