The first photos of the upcoming 2021 Cadillac XT5 emerged online. According to them, the new model will get some updates and changes. However, most of the body is covered with camo and we can only see some parts. Also, from the latest information, most of the changes will happen under the hood. The new model will get a new four-cylinder turbo engine alongside the old one.

Like before, the 2021 Cadillac XT5 model will measure the same dimensions and shape. The front of this SUV will be aggressive thanks to the new jeweled headlights system. There will be also some updates inside, and this 2-row 5-seat SUV will guarantee comfort on the long ride.

The exterior of the 2021 Cadillac XT5 will be updated. The buyers will get more shaper design and a more attractive look. Furthermore, its design is based on the Cadillac Escala Concept. Dimensionally it sits between smaller XT4 and larger XT7 model.

The new model as we already wrote is caught testing and from the images we can clearly see the new jeweled headlights system and some changes upfront. From the sides, the 18-inch wheels are installed and according to the information that we got, there will be optional 20-inch wheels to choose. However, the rest of the body is covered with camo and is tough to see changes.

Interior design will be also changed and the new 2021 Cadillac XT5 will provide more standard features. Also, it comes with the new driver-assistance system that will add more security. Besides that, the manufacturer will add the new self-driving system. This system is only made to be used on the highways. The same system is also present on the popular CT6 sedan. Also, the manufacturer confirmed that the rest of the company’s models will get the same system.

Cabin this year will provide more premium materials. The customers will get an extremely modern interior that offers a lot of space. Also, the new infotainment system features one-touch phone paring, two new high-definition instrument cluster display options, night vision, revised USB ports, wireless charging and more. The enhanced automatic parking assist with braking, rear vision camera, and 360-surround view are also available.

The upcoming 2021 Cadillac XT5 will come with the same 3.6-liter V6 engine under its hood. This engine is connected to the new 9-speed automatic transmission. However, the current model can generate with the same engine 310 horses and 270 lb-ft of torque and we can expect more output with the new one. According to the latest rumors, the new XT5 will be able to deliver around 350 HP. It comes with a front-wheel-drive system as standard. Furthermore, the customers can also get all-wheel-drive setup with on both Luxury and Premium Luxury and standard on the Sport model.

The next one engine and the new one is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged unit. This engine is connected to the same 9-speed automatic gearbox and it will be able to make 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Also, a new electronically controlled braking system is installed and it replaces the conventional vacuum-assisted system. As for the fuel economy, the exact rating is not available yet, but we assume that the four-cylinder turbocharged unit will deliver better consumption. A hybrid variant, for now, is only available in China.

Price and Release Date

The price of the 2021 Cadillac XT5 will be slightly increased. This is nothing new because the upcoming model will get some new features and a better look.

The price will start at $42,000 for the base model with the front-wheel-drive system. However, the all-wheel-drive version is $47,190. The 2021 Cadillac XT5 will debut in the second half of 2020.
