After great sales of the BMW X7 flagship model, the manufacturer is preparing to make a more stylish version called the 2021 BMW X8. This SUV is rendered and it looks more significant than the X7 sibling.
According to the company, the upcoming model will look more aggressive and it will bring even more technology features inside. BMW is known as the manufacturer with great history, so one can expect great arranged cabin and more upscale materials than on the X7. Besides that, some gossip indicates that the new model will likely use the same six-cylinder diesel powertrain from the X7 30d.
2021 BMW X8 Rendering
The all-new member 2021 BMW X8 will be classified as the full-size luxury SUV. Overall, this model will sit on the same BMW CLAR platform as the X7. As you may know, the same underpinnings can also be found under the X5 model. However, some modifications will happen, and the X8 will become the perfect coupe-SUV alternative to the X7.
That means the upcoming X8 will get a more swooping roofline and an even bolder front grille. First thing first, the rendering reveals that X8 will likely come standard with lowered M Sport suspension. Thanks to that, the upcoming model will get a more hunkered-down appearance and massive alloy wheels.
More Luxury Inside
Cabin rendering is also available. So, we can say surely that the upcoming 2021 BMW X8 will feature a more techy cabin than the X7. The Interior looks lavish and the new model will share many cues with its sibling. Basically, the X8 will feature a larger infotainment screen and a digital display in the instrument binnacle. Besides that, we can expect maximum comfort inside.
Like the X7 model, the future flagship will use the same layout. There will be three-row of seats and we can assume that it will host more space inside. As you may know, the X7 has a roomy cabin that can accommodate seven passengers comfortably.
2021 BMW X8 Engine Specs
The rumored 2021 BMW X8 model will feature a couple of engine options under the hood. Unlike most of BMW`s SUVs, the latest X8 will be more competitive on the market. This model will feature a range of six and eight-cylinder engines.
The base model will most likely use the six-cylinder diesel powertrain from the X7 30d. This engine consists of a 3.0-liter straight-six turbodiesel that produces 261 horse and 620Nm of torque. Thanks to this engine, X7 runs from 0 to 62 mph in 7.0 seconds.
Furthermore, the next possibilities are 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 40i petrol and the most powerful 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 (xDrive50i). The 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged under the X7 provides 456 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque, and it uses 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
Release Date and Price
The first rendering photos of the BMW X8 emerge online. First thing first, the new model looks more futuristic, and we like the new red volcano color on it. However, this model won’t come cheap at all. According to some reports, the entry-level cars will most likely cost more than $100,000, while the range-topping versions can pass $125,000. From multiple gossips, the sale of the X8 model will starts in late 2021.
