The strong engine will send its power to the same 8-speed automatic gearbox. The M model comes with the all-wheel-drive system as standard.
Plug-in hybrid model
The upcoming 2021 BMW X3 will also get the plug-in hybrid engine. The model that is called X3 xDrive30e will be powered with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder gasoline turbo unit and an electric motor. It will also come with a powerful lithium-ion battery that will have a capacity of 7.6 kWh.
This combination will produce 275 HP 295 pound-feet of torque. According to the officials, this model will provide at least 30 miles on all-electric. The all-wheel-drive system will be standard on this model.
Release Date and Price
The 2021 BMW X3 will be available to the market at the end of the next year. According to the latest report, the price of the base model will remain the same as before starting at $35.000.
However, if one needs more power, he can choose the powerful M package that will cost around $50.000, depending on the features. The plug-in hybrid that will be also on the offer may start at $43.000.
