However, do not expect significant changes, because the new model will get only mid-cycle refreshments this time. RDX is remaining to be an attractive mid-size SUV that provides a spacious interior and great cargo area. Also, it comes with many latest tech and amenities.
Unfortunately, 2021 RDX still provides the same powertrain as before. This SUV features a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that provides great output. Front-wheel-drive is available as standard, while the AWD system is optional.
2021 Acura RDX Facelift
The all-new 2021 Acura RDX will get mid-cycle refreshments. This compact crossover will introduce some changes and updates that will make this SUV even more sporty. On top of that, this model will be bigger and heavier than before. The new compact crossover will be 2.4 inches long, and it will lose around 46 pounds. Thanks to that, we can expect better headling and more fuel-efficient. The front fascia will be refreshed, but it still includes diamond pentagon grille.
Besides that, the new Acura RDX will see some changes on the back with updated C-shaped taillights, and side profile will look sportier thanks to the new stylish alloy wheels.
Interior Improvements and Changes
The interior of 2021 Acura RDX will be modern and unique. On top of that, it will be roomier. As we already wrote, this model will be longer, and because of that, the legroom and headroom will be better than before. Also, the cargo area is spacious as well.
Furthermore, more tech will be added and more standard features. That includes a new infotainment system and numerous technical improvements.
The advance package will be offered with a head-up display, 360-degree camera system, 16-way power-adjustable front seats, heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, wood trim, hands-free tailgate operation, acoustic front side glass, and a rear camera washer. Upper trim levels A-Spec will bring some cosmetic changes inside, and it will get a heated/ventilated front seats, LED fog lights, plus four speakers and ELS audio.
2021 Acura RDX Engine Specs
Performance-wise, the 2021 Acura RDX will carry over the engine from its predecessor. However, this engine is still competitive and provides great output. Under the hood of the new Acura RDX is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder as the only powertrain in the offer.
This engine provides a great output of 272 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission is offered as standard. Also, as we already wrote, this model comes with a front-wheel-drive system that is available on every trim level. Furthermore, you can also get an optional AWD setup that cost an additional $2,000.
2021 Acura RDX Price and Release Date
The upcoming 2021 Acura RDX will get some refined updates, and it will be released in the second half of 2020. The standard model will cost around $39,000. However, if one adds a mid equipped package that includes an AWD system, the price will go up to $45,000.
