The carmaker has announced the all-new 2020 Porsche Cayenne which will bring several upgrades this time. So, the new Cayenne will finally get a coupe-like version of this model and the visual changes will mostly be seen on the rear end of the vehicle. The engine options should remain the same, including a hybrid unit as well.
2020 Porsche Cayenne engines and performances
The 2020 Porsche Cayenne will be available with four engines beneath its hood. All the engines will be mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox and will come standard with all-wheel drive configuration. So, the base is going to be a 3.0-liter V-6 engine which is able to develop 335 hp and the torque of 322 lb-ft. It will be rated at 19 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway.
The Cayenne S model will use a 2.9-liter V-6 turbocharged engine. This one will have the output of 434 hp and 406 pound-feet of torque. It will get 18 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. Furthermore, the Cayenne E-Hybrid will be powered by a 3.0-liter V-6 turbocharged engine combined with an electric motor. The total output of this one will be 455 horses and 516 lb-ft of torque. It will have an all-electric range of 27 miles.
Finally, the Cayenne Turbo model will get a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 powertrain. This engine will be capable of making 541 hp and 568 pound-feet of torque.
The exterior and interior of the 2020 Porsche Cayenne
The 2020 Porsche Cayenne will feature a clean and attractive design as its forerunner. The current model has been upgraded with curvier design and it is now slightly larger. The base model use the same 19-inch wheels but the higher trim levels will get the larger 22-inchers. As well, the hybrid model will be available with 21-inch wheels which will give it a more aggressive design. Furthermore, the carmaker will also offer a coupe version of this model. And it will get a sloping roofline and the rear end should be all new. However, the front end will be very similar to the standard model.
The comfort and quality of the interior of the new 2020 Porsche Cayenne will be on the high level. All the seats are supportive and cozy and are available with heating option. In the center of the dashboard, there is a large 12.3-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system.
The standard equipment of the 2020 Porsche Cayenne will include 19-inch wheels, navigation, audio system with 10 speakers, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, front and rear park assist, LED headlights and taillights, keyless entry, rain-sensing wipers, push-button start, an 8-way driver’s seat, airbags, and so on.
Some of the options will be leather seats, heated rear seats, heated and ventilate front seats, adaptive headlight, a panoramic sunroof, Burmester audio system with 21 speakers, 18-way-adaptive sport seats, and other items.
Release date and price of the 2020 Porsche Cayenne
The new 2020 Porsche Cayenne could arrive later this year, or in early 2020. The price should start at around $66,700.
