The carmaker has announced the newest version of the Escape SUV which will finally get a hybrid version of this model. In terms of exterior styling, the Escape Hybrid will get a slightly revised front fascia and a new grille, and the interior will feature some new tech features. However, the standard Escape will also offer several engines as its forerunner.
Powertrain and performance of the new 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid

It will work with a 6-speed automatic transmission and the rear-wheel drive system will be standard. The next option is going to be a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder turbo engine which will be able to make 179 hp and the torque of 177 lb-ft. This one will also offer the all-wheel drive layout as an option. Furthermore, the strongest engine will be a 2.0-liter inline-4 turbocharged engine. This powertrain is able to generate 245 horses and 275 pound-feet of torque.

First of all, the upcoming 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid should enter the market with a new platform which has been first used in the newest Fiesta model. When it comes to exterior design, the 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid will feature a wider hood and the extended rear end, so it will be longer and wider than the current model.
