The all-new 2019 Porsche Cayenne is almost ready to hit the market. The newest version of the popular SUV will come with some new and improved engine options and will get a handful of new equipment and features. As well, it will have a comfortable and spacious cabin as in earlier versions and will provide excellent handling and ride. Furthermore, it will be available in three trim levels which will get many modern features.
Engines and performances of the 2019 Porsche Cayenne
The 2019 Porsche Cayenne will come with three types of engines under its hood. The base is going to be a 3.0-liter V-6 single-turbo engine which will have the output of 340 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. This engine will be able to hit 60 mph in 5.9 seconds. The Cayenne S model will use a 2.9-liter V-6 engine. This engine will be able to produce 440 horsepower and the torque of 406 lb-ft. It will be able to reach 60 mph in around 5 second and its top speed will be limited to 164 mph. There will also be the strongest 4.0-liter V-8 twin-turbo engine which can develop 550 horses and 567 pound-feet of torque. It will also be the quickest in the lineup and it will be able to go from 0 to 60 mpg in 3.7 seconds. Its top speed will be 177 mph.
All the engines will be coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission. As for the fuel economy, the base model gets 17 mpg in the city, 24 mpg on the highway, and 20 mpg combined.
Design of exterior and interior
Speaking of the exterior design, the 2019 Porsche Cayenne won’t be different from the previous model. However, it will feature a curvier design and it will be slightly larger than before. The front end will get the same grille design, prominent air intakes, and headlamps while the rear end is dominated by the slim LED taillights.
Inside the cabin, the 2019 Porsche Cayenne offers spacious, comfortable, and nicely designed cabin. It can place up to five passengers and there is sufficient room for both front and rear occupants. The front seats are 8-way power adjustable while the higher trim levels come with 18-way power seats. Behind the second row, there is the cargo room of 27.2 cubes while with the second row folded down, the room increases to more than 60.3 cubic feet.
Equipment of the 2019 Porsche Cayenne
All the 2019 Porsche Cayennes will come standard with power front seats, leather upholstery, navigation, LED headlamps, 19-inch wheels, audio system with 10 speakers, a 12.3-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, and satellite radio. The Cayenne S model will add adaptive suspension, 20-inch wheels, and a glass roof. The Cayenne Turbo will also add heated front and rear seats, 21-inch wheels, and an active rear spoiler. As for the safety, the standard features will include automatic emergency braking, a rearview camera, and forward-collision warning.
Release date and price
The 2019 Porsche Cayenne should go on sale later this year. Its starting price should be around $65,700.
