The carmaker is soon planning to launch the all-new 2019 Nissan Juke which will represent the next generation of this model. For starters, it will get some new engine options which will also be found in the new Micra and Qashqai models. As well, its exterior will also be revised for a fresher look which will also borrow some design cues from the Micra model. Moreover, the interior will be refreshed with more quality materials and upgraded infotainment screen and more tech features.
Engines and performances of the 2019 Nissan Juke
The next generation of the Nissan Juke model will come with several types of engines under its hood. So, the 2019 Nissan Juke will return with the same 1.6-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine. This unit is able to make 188 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. It will work with a continuously variable transmission and will come with front-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations. The FWD model is rated at 28 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. The all-wheel drive version gets 26/30 mpg.
Furthermore, the new Juke is expected to get the same engines as the Micra and Qashqai models. Those engines will be able to produce between 89 and 114 horsepower. The 1.3-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine made by Renault and Mercedes-Benz manufacturers is also very likely to be found in the new Juke. Moreover, according to the latest news, it could also get a new 1.5-liter turbo diesel under its hood as well.
Design of exterior and interior
The all-new 2019 Nissan Juke will most likely be underpinned with the new, stretched version of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance’s V-architecture. This platform is also used in the Renault Clio and Nissan Micra. Speaking of the exterior design, the 2019 Nissan Juke will get the same and recognizable edgy design, but it will look less mainstream. However, this time it will get a slightly longer wheelbase, high-placed headlamps, and similar design found in the newest Qashqai.
As for the interior design of the 2019 Nissan Juke, we will notice some major improvements in this area. The quality of the materials will be seen at first instant. So, the new Juke will get more soft-plastics and upgraded materials and fabrics. Furthermore, the design will be inspired by the latest Micra too. And the main infotainment touchscreen will be easier to use. It will get a smartphone connectivity and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity too. As well, the buyers will be able to choose between several color combinations and finishes.
Among standard equipment, we will find Bluetooth connectivity, air conditioning, power windows and locks, keyless ignition, a rearview camera, 17-inch wheels, a 5.0-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, and so on. Moving to the higher trim levels, the carmaker will add voice recognition, audio system with 6 speakers, leather upholstery, SiriusXM traffic info, navigation, and many other features.
Release date and price
The 2019 Nissan Juke is expected to arrive sometime at the beginning of next year. The price is expected to be roughly $21,000.
