The new 2019 GMC Acadia Denali is almost ready to hit the market, but this time there won’t be any large changes applied since the major overhaul is set for a year or two from now. So, for the 2019 model year, the Acadia will get some small changes in the choice of exterior colors and design of the wheels and it will now be offered with the new Black Edition package which will give it a more luxurious appearance.
Powertrain and performance of the 2019 GMC Acadia Denali
The 2019 GMC Acadia Denali will be powered by the same engine as the current model. It is a 3.6-liter V-6 powertrain which has the output of 310 horses and 271 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and comes with front-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations. The front-wheel drive model is rated at 18 mpg in the city, 25 mpg on the highway, and 21 mpg combined. The all-wheel drive version gets 17 mpg in the city, 25 mpg on the highway, and 20 mpg combined. Its maximum towing capacity is rated at up to 4,000 pounds.
Design of exterior and interior
The 2019 GMC Acadia Denali will get the same two-box design with some attractive curves and recognizable square wheel arches which give it a truck-like appearance. The range-topping Denali trim will get the unique design of the lights. And it will also feature larger and shiny 20-inch alloy wheels. The rear end will wear large taillights and more chrome details. On the front, we will notice distinctive HID headlamps with LED daytime running lights and chrome, bold grille. There will also be a new Black Edition package which will give it a more upscale look. As well, an optional All-Terrain package will provide a more rugged and off-road trim.
The interior of the 2019 GMC Acadia Denali will look even more luxurious with more modern design, high-quality materials, and great technology. Furthermore, thanks to the active noise cancellation, the cabin will be quieter and more pleasant. It comes with three rows of seats. And the All Terrain package comes with two-row seating configuration and adds a bench seats in the second row. The dual captain chairs are optional in all the trim levels. The third row will be best for kids as expected. Behind the third row, there is a cargo room of 12.8 cubic feet. And the maximum space for the cargo is up to 79 cubes.
Speaking of the equipment, the standard features include three-zone climate control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, five USB ports, the rear-seat reminder safety-alert system, keyless open, and so on. The Denali trim will also get an 8.0-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, leather upholstery, SiriusXM Satellite radio, Bose audio system, navigation, heated and ventilated front seats, 20-inch wheels and so on. The adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, active lane control, and automatic emergency braking will also be standard on the Denali trim.
Release date and price
The all-new 2019 GMC Acadia Denali will be available later this year. Its price is expected to be around $45,500 for the range-topping Denali trim.
